Oscar Trends 2015: 5 Guys Who Looked Great in White Tuxedo Jackets (And One Who Didn't)

Last night’s Oscars saw tuxedos of all fits, lapels, and hues. Though traditional black and sophisticated midnight blue were prevalent, the guys that really made a statement were the ones in white dinner jackets, long a power move for A-listers looking to make a splash on the red carpet. Jeff Goldblum, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Jay Z rocked shawl collars and black bowties for an elegant, mature vibe. Eddie Murphy and Adrien Brody looked solid in peak lapels. Then there was Kevin Hart, who even with the best intentions, came up a little, er, short (sorry Kev)

At an event like the Oscars, we pretty much know everybody is going to wear a tuxedo on the red carpet unless they’re Jimmy Kimmel. That strict dress code puts a lot of men in your classic black notch lapel number.
